Design Engineer

Overview

Tasks

-Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving -Assists in project coordination and meetings with the internal and external team members -Interacts with higher level engineers and design technicians. -Shares information across all disciplines to confirm deliverables are compliant with client expectations and established quality standards -Reviews project submittals and shop drawings -Attends client, architect, and contractor meetings -Visits projects during construction to learn construction practices and to provide on-site construction observation -Performs analysis of existing structures -Work directly with Project Manager/Engineer of Record in the development of project design, calculations, and developing assessment reports -Performs calculations per design specifications and industry standards -Utilizes Structural Design Software, such as RAM Structural Systems, ETBAS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and TEKLA -Develop drawings or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations

What You Bring

-Proficient knowledge and experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD -Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team. -EIT preferred. -Learns to engage with potential clients to expand business relationships -Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities presented. -Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of related experience or Master’s in Civil Engineering -Strong communication skills are required.
