Tasks

-Champion growth initiatives in the area, including pro-forma and market analysis for acquisitions. Ensure that acquisition opportunities are consistent with the strategic plan, and meet company goals. -Ensure that the company’s safety programs are implemented, and that there is zero tolerance for non-compliance with minimum safety standards set by the Company leadership working to create an environment with the ultimate goal of “ZERO” accidents. -Prepare and communicate accurate and timely financial forecasts, budgets, and projections to allow the organization to make informed decisions, allocate resources effectively and support financial stability. -Ensure that the company’s equipment standards and policies are being met including equipment leadership in regular inspection of equipment resources. -Lead an engaged team including setting goals, managing performance, fostering career development and promoting a collaborative learning environment. -Develop strategic and professional relationships; work to build alliances with politicians, customers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure the company is a well-respected leader in the local community. -Promote change and the Pursuit of Excellence in the geographic area. Build a culture that strives to lead the industry in technological and process improvement. -Assist in the preparation and implementation of strategic plan for the area and business unit that promotes growth of the business unit and its capabilities, which are consistent with the company strategic plans and goals. -Actively participate in bid reviews for all large dollar and/or complicated bids to ensure estimate accuracy, risk and opportunity assessment, and strength and weakness analysis is consistent with overall company expectations.

What You Bring

-Minimum of ten (10) years experience. -Experience leading operations, including but not limited to process improvement, change management, and strategic development -The ability to lead expansion efforts. -Experience in estimating of earthwork, concrete, utility, paving, structures, underground, as well as other construction operations. -Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills required. -Resourceful, persistent, collaborative, persuasive, strategic thinker, problem solver, -Preferred experience with government relations and lobbying within the construction space -Excellent organizational, supervisory, and decision making/problem solving skills essential. -Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information. -Proficiency with all MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. -BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil, or highway construction and management. -Ability to work well in teams, within the business unit and among other units or divisions -Knowledge of craft employee relations including the collective bargaining process as well as all employee related laws and regulations. -Knowledge of construction operations (technology, equipment, methods) procedures and standards.
