Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
Inspect electrical, mechanical, trackwork, systems, concrete, formwork, utilities and roadways.
Participate in internal/external quality control audits.
Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
Assist in reviewing purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
Inspect to contract specifications the quality of construction work, using construction submittals, testing procedures, etc.
Develop understanding/working knowledge of project quality control program, project standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.

Two or more years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred. Work experience in all disciplines of construction (civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) preferred.
Inspection of electrical, structural steel, concrete steel reinforcement and formwork, utilities and roadway is a definite advantage, as are ACI and other quality related certifications.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance, trackwork, MEP, rail systems, utilities, structural steel, concrete, construction submittals, testing procedures and inspection.
Ability to develop in depth understanding of QA/QC manuals and programs.
