The Role

Overview

Design, implement, and secure cloud infrastructure for SATCOM DevSecOps.

Tasks

-Work with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security testing. -Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD). -Help with vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response automation. -Enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack. -Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks (NIST 800-171). -Automate cloud resource rollout using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. -Maintain and enhance helm charts for deployment of Docker-based microservices -Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure). -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud costs, security, and performance. -Help with release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS). -Develop documentation and training materials to promote DevSecOps culture across the organization.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -Knowledge of IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust security models. -Familiarity with security testing methodologies and tools, such as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing -Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management -Experience with serverless architectures and microservices security. -Experience working in air-gapped environments (IL6) -Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, AWS/Azure Security). -Proficiency with cloud security best practices. -Top Secret clearance -Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance -Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash). -Proficient working in Agile teams and associated tools (JIRA, etc.) -Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team -Proficiency with administering Linux-based operating systems. -Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SIEM, and IDS/IPS. -Proficiency with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and tools -Proficiency with git-based development workflows and pipelines. -Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). -5+ years of experience in DevOps, Security, or Infrastructure Engineering. -Familiarity with SATCOM, spectral processing and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) -Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail -Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field -Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript -Familiarity with software supply chain security (SBOM, Dependency Scanning). -Travel Requirements: Minimal
