Construction Technician

Overview

Support pipeline construction and maintenance by handling materials, tools, documentation, and logistics.

Tasks

-Catalog and complete project record binders for all projects -Operate power tools such as drills, grinders, torches, etc. -Assist with ordering of welding consumables -Ship and receive materials for projects -Assist planner on information gathering for quotations and other engineering data as needed -Operate equipment that is necessary to off-load trucks -Order and manage inventory of coating materials -Oversee small equipment certification logs and ensure compliance -Frequent travel to other company locations to support construction activities, which will involve overnight stays away from home -Perform red line reviews/FMR’s and work with internal/external engineering as needed -Assist crew leader and associate with obtaining documentation, op quals, and procedures -Gather MTR’s for all materials that are applicable to a project -Assist crew on constructability reviews, safety aspects, and compliance for projects -Cross train with project planner and fill-in as needed to support program

What You Bring

-Valid CDL license or ability to obtain license -Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing -Two years of work experience in a mechanical related environment -Have and maintain a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and a safe driving record -Computer proficiency to include experience with SAP -Pipeline or construction industry experience -Be subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and work extended days and/or weeks for emergency response purposes -High school diploma or equivalent
