The Role

Overview

Design and maintain secure DevOps pipelines for Force Tracking systems.

Tasks

-Implement deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling) to Kubernetes, VMs, or PaaS. -Integrate xUnit/NUnit/MSTest with code coverage; enforce quality gates with SonarQube/SonarCloud (or GitLab Code Quality). -Standardize reusable pipeline templates, stages, and jobs; enable dynamic child pipelines, cache and artifacts for speed and traceability. -Manage GitLab Runners (shared/specific; Linux/Windows; autoscaling) and optimize concurrency and cost. -Mentor developers in GitLab CI best practices, trunk-based development, and MR workflows; lead internal workshops and documentation. -Publish artifacts to GitLab Package Registry/NuGet feeds and container images to GitLab Container Registry. -Use Review Apps, Environments, and Deploy Boards for traceable promotions (dev → test → staging → prod). -Instrument pipeline metrics (duration, queue time, failure rate) and flake analysis; establish SLIs/SLOs for CI reliability. -Build executive and team dashboards using GitLab Analytics and export to BI when needed. -Evaluate new GitLab features (e.g., CI/CD Catalog, Auto DevOps, rule-based approvals) and complementary tools. -Build, Test, and Release for C#/.NET: -Partner with Engineering, QA, SRE/Platform, and Security to align pipeline policies with product goals. -Perform and lead routine, non-routine, and complex maintenance on the following sub-systems: communications, networking, antenna, power, timing, signal distribution, trucks, trailers, environmental control, and support equipment. -Orchestrate Helm/Kustomize releases; manage configuration and secrets (GitLab CI variables, OIDC, sealed secrets, or vault integrations). -Reduce build and deploy times via caching, test parallelization, and incremental builds; drive shift-left testing and security. -Architect, implement, and maintain gitlab-ci.yml pipelines for build, test, packaging, and deployment of .NET (Core 8) apps and services.

What You Bring

-Automate dotnet restore/build/test/publish, MSBuild, NuGet packaging, and versioning (SemVer). -Understanding on full software stack -Must have at least 2 years’ experience working with Gitlab DevOps -Experience creating and maintaining YML based pipelines -Client-server architecture -Possess and maintain an active Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance. -DoD IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) certification required. -Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for SCI. -Must have and maintain an appropriate DoDI 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) certification for the appointed duty level. -Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific field from an accredited institution. -Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. -Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud/containerization platforms -You must have at least two (2) years of experience in creating technical documentation, reports and/or presentations. -Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) Network Plus Certification, Security Plus Certification and/or Windows & Linux experience. -Experience with DevOps pipelines in a DoD or mission-critical environment -Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, of which at least three (3) must be specialized experience including designing, implementing and/or administering medium to large information systems and/or networks, including experience in.
