Design interior spaces, from concept through installation, for commercial clients.

Tasks
-Specify furniture and finishes required per final layouts. -Estimate budgetary hours and manage and monitor project hours. -Prepare design budgets and design proposals. -Produce and present design concepts to customers. -Plans and accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals. -Engage with customer to gather project information (surveys, interviews, data collection,observations) and to uncover customer challenges. -Serve as a mentor for other designers. -Assist in the on-boarding process. -Delegate and coordinate independently with Design support teams. -Approaches tasks, project, team, and customers with optimism, enthusiasm, and creativity. -Develop validation packages and spreadsheets. -Track and manage time entries daily. -Distill and analyze project information. -Conduct product research and contact vendors for pricing and information. -Produce furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specification, and installation drawings; create, revise, and plot design drawings. -Responsible for individual tasks and duties as well as overall project results and outcomes. -Generate, organize, and maintain CAD/CET files. -Perform field measurements and inventory product.

-Professional understanding of building codes, regulations, ADA. -Judgement/decision making, analysis/comprehension -Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making. -Must possess a growth mindset and the ability to adopt new habits and behaviors. -Must be cooperative, with the ability to work with and learn from others. -Must believe in the ability of physical space to have a positive impact on the lives of others. -Clearly and comfortably delegates both routine and important tasks to design support partners. -Pursues tasks and projects with energy, drive, and a need to finish and overcome obstacles. -Professional ability to apply Interior Design principles, to include texture, color, form, function, materiality balance, rhythm, repetition, proximity, symmetry, biophilia, cognition and perception. -Professional proficiency in a variety of software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office. CET Designer, 20/20 CAP, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign desired. -Ability to apply commercial furniture products and systems furnishings. -Ability to learn quickly when facing new problems. -Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, hand and finger dexterity, and ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, ability to get to project sites. -Practices attentive listening. -Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time -Must have self-awareness and be able to self-assess strengths and opportunities for growth. -Ability to draw/sketch by hand. -Professional knowledge of commercial furniture products and systems furnishings. -Acute attention to detail. -Picks up on the need to change personal, interpersonal, and managerial behavior quickly. -Exceptional customer service skills with ability to provide solutions to client needs. -Prioritizes and spends time on what is important, quickly zeros-in on critical elements. -Composed and cool under pressure. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. -Uses logic to solve difficult problems.
