Assist in design, calculations, and field work for transportation infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Participate in detailed plan development for all phases of a design project -Determine right-of-way requirements -Conduct possible field inspections of existing facilities -Apply technical training to perform basic calculations -Utilize MS Office applications -Use AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer, or other design software packages -Coordinate with utilities -Review field information -Assist with preliminary to final design calculations and plan development

-Adjust to short-term assignments and remain dedicated to long-term projects -Computer literacy and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are a requirement -Demonstrated ability to learn quickly -Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. -Ability to work well in a team setting -Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -Willingness to work diligently to learn new skills -Adaptability and flexibility (adjusting to short-term and long-term assignments)
