The Enterprise Strategy and Planning (ESP) team is the custodian of CAG’s corporate strategy and planning to enhance enterprise performance, working closely with the clusters and divisions to help drive efforts to keep the moving parts working synergistically towards achieving CAG’s mission. ESP’s areas of focus include leading and aligning overall CAG strategy, challenging the company to set ambitious goals and drive business performance to meet them, scanning and analysing market/industry trends, asking the right questions, scrutinising critical assumptions, analysing strategic tradeoffs and championing of selected strategic initiatives.

  • You will deliver value by being the sounding board to business units and senior management on business case, strategic and financial considerations to catalyse CAG’s journey towards higher performance. This includes reviewing business models, championing planning, budgeting and forecasting, developing business analyses and/or business and financial models, conducting post-implementation reviews and monitoring business progress.
  • You will drive and/or support the formulation of CAG’s strategy which include strategic planning and formulating CAG’s financial strategy based on clear issue framing, systems-level thinking and rigorous analyses across strategic, operating, financial and industry data/trends.
  • You will lead and/or partake in strategic initiatives and strategic problem-solving, across different spectrum of subject matters including developing and testing hypotheses, strategic analyses, developing conceptual frameworks, and conducting qualitative and quantitative/financial analyses to identify new transformation and growth opportunities, and recommend strategic actions.

  • Strong conceptual, numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data and information to structure complex problems logically and derive insight
  • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with a diverse group of both senior management and operations staff
  • Good project management, stakeholder management, change management and people management skills
  • Good degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5-8 years of working experience with at least 5 years in corporate-level Strategic, Corporate or Financial Planning
  • Proficiency in paper-writing/presentation tools and spreadsheet/data analytics tools (e.g. Microsoft suite of tools and any other digital tools to aid in work)
  • Experience in cost transformation programmes and initiatives would be advantageous
  • Highly driven, independent, resourceful and an adaptable team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Big-picture perspective, yet with attention to details and a focus on delivering results
