The Role

Overview

Procures materials, equipment, and services while managing supplier relationships for projects.

Tasks

-Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Propose purchase transactions that higher authority approve prior to final action -Develop relationships with suppliers: solicit bids, analyze quotations, and select suppliers -Purchase items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements, and other factors -Enter purchase orders and retain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis -Track order status from time of placing order until delivery and communicate status to project teams -Visit job sites or office quarterly at a minimum to develop more effective working relationships -Arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers -Create and maintain catalogs for each operating group or project that is supported

-Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and materials, purchasing processes and procedures -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback -Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal and communication skills -Software experience -Strong customer service and analytical skills -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience -Current driver's license -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
