The Role

Overview

Support defence projects as a Project Engineer handling budgets, procurement and QA/QC.

Tasks

-Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. -Provide project support and assistance through the ownership and delivery of defined projects with best practice, client standards and the agreed outcomes and business benefits. -Interact daily with Site Supervisors, Project Managers and other project personnel, providing assistance and technical support -Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project material and project support by undertaking administrative project tasks including managing and maintaining project briefs, project scheduling, action logs, budgets, and performance monitoring of projects. -Prepare documentation including project plans, Gantt charts and specifications for minor projects. -Assist to coordinate all project elements including QA/QC, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor management, equipment control, supplies and project management administration.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment process including a medical and police check. -Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc). -NACE 1 or 2 certified. (highly desirable but not essential) -Relevant degree in Engineering. -Ability to work to project deadlines, budgets and team orientated. -Minimum 3 to 5 year's experience in Asset Remediation, Civil Construction, Infrastructure or Defense environment. -Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes, being highly desirable; with experience in asset remediation and infrastructure projects, with blasting & painting and concrete rehabilitation works.
