Electrical Installation Technician- 1st Shift

Overview

Perform advanced assembly and electrical wiring for medium voltage switchgear.

Tasks

-Assembly includes a wiring task whereby it is necessary to stand, sit, bend and work from a ladder throughout the day. -Position and install component parts according to material list and blueprints. -Execute Point-to-Point wiring diagrams in order to install electrical wiring. Routing of wire from one point to the other requires the ability to plan ahead and work from a schematic.

What You Bring

-One (1) year experience working in residential or electrical wiring -No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 60 - miles of the Omaha, NE location. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. -Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. -Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility -Ability to decipher blueprints/ schematics and troubleshoot installation issues that arise -Excellent history of work performance, teamwork and attendance -Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends. -Ability to read a tape measure down to the 1/8th -One (1) year experience working with and deciphering blueprints/schematics -Able to work off ladders and in tight spaces. -High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. -Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability -One (1) year experience working with precision measuring devices -Wire lugs are crimped on the end of the wire and are done with manual and automatic crimpers and strippers. -One (1) year working in a manufacturing environment OR a construction related field
