Drainage Assistant

Overview

Assist in drainage work, handling blockages, pipe clearing and equipment operation.

Tasks

-Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues. -Ensure all H&S requirements are followed -Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers. -Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework. -Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress. -Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness. -Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems. -Operate machinery -Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.

-Basic computer skills and a desire to learn new software -A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions -Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points) -CSCS Card -Good communication and teamwork skills -Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
