Site Reporting Engineer

Overview

Provide cost, schedule, and risk reporting for engineering projects in Abu Dhabi.

Tasks

-Support monitoring of resource needs for the project and programme through analysis of workload at project level -Perform progress updates of the project Gantt charts, including executed changes into project schedule. -Assist with the preparation of proposal schedules and CTR packs -Attendance at client progress meetings -Providing clear and concise updates to project managers and teams. -Tracking milestones, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely completion. -Liaise with Project Accounting and time-capture functions and third parties as required to ensure accurate and timely capture of costs and ensure costs are allocated accurately in accordance with approved project/assignment WBS -Assist with the preparation of cost and manhour analysis for benchmarking and productivity assessment -Follow change management process -Identify slippages, significant float erosion and raise to more senior team members -Supports installation of quantities tracking in accordance with standard methods of measurement, including rules of credit (weighted value) -Participate in cost and schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions -Assist with reporting of project costs and schedule data -Monitor cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of the project / assignment -Contribute to weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports -Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to minimize impact -Work closely and assist Project Accountants and Billing Specialists in the Billing process and any other cost related queries -Reporting of planned v’s actual progress figures -Support the collection of weekly progress figures from the project team and any 3rd party contractors -Input into the change management system -Monitoring financial aspects of the project, ensuring expenditures align with forecasts. -Preparing detailed reports on project status, cost variances, and resource utilization. -Study and understand all relevant documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedules

-Unlikely to interact with external parties -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Project Accountants, Time capture and Billing Specialists -Basic understanding of project management principles and techniques -Effective organization & planning skills -Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment -Good skills in Microsoft Word and very good skills in Microsoft Excel Personal Attributes -Basic understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management -Review and be familiar with the Project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work -Maintenance of project S-Curves and Histograms. Understanding of project Rules of Credit and how to measure Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index. -Strong numerical and analytical skills -Be familiar with and comply with Project Controls processes and procedures -Demonstrates commitment to Wood Values, Visions & Behaviours -Good communication skills both written and oral -Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, not necessarily in estimating. -Uses initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving
