Tasks

-Perform civil engineering plans preparation in water and wastewater distribution and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, infrastructure piping, roadways, paving, grading, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure. -Adjusts and correlates data. -Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall design effort. -Makes basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given. -May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and the adoption of alternatives. -Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions. -Applied prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer. -Determines additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinates them directly with LJA. -Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel.

What You Bring

-2 years of experience in Land Development -Recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. -Strong communication skills -EIT License required -Bachelor of Science, in Civil Engineering is required. -Possess strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. -Possess drainage design experience is preferred; Cascade 2001 and/or ICPR Version 4 is preferred. -Have experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects. -Ability to build strong relationships -Have experience in developing working drawings for civil site plans (layout, plan and profile, grading, drainage, and paving).
