The Role
Overview
Develop and implement digital inspection, monitoring, and maintenance for thermal spray processes.

Tasks
-Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action as required -Implement and lead a digital monitoring system for quality assurance and preventative maintenance -Integrate sensors, IoT devices and data analysis tools into the production process for real-time monitoring of production lines -Eventually roll out inspection methods and takeaways within the Siemens Energy network -Train production personnel in new testing methods and digital monitoring systems and update manufacturing instructions as required -Improve and develop new thermal spray coating inspection and test methods to improve product quality -Collaborate and work closely with other departments, including production, R&D, IT and maintenance.

What You Bring
-Candidate should have a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or other related field and 5 years of tried experience. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa. -Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and work off-shifts when required -Professional experience in quality assurance. Additional certifications in related fields are an advantage as well as knowledge of materials in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials (ceramics, ceramic coatings) -Familiarity with Lean and or Six Sigma philosophies -Preferred knowledge of mechanical testing methodologies and metallurgical examination and evaluation practices -Experience in the development and application of HVOF or APS coating processes is an advantage in addition to Knowledge of Robot Studio or offline programming
