Tasks

-Maintains ArcMap in GIS to include creating, updating or, modifying polygons; creates and exports maps for internal customers and contractors on request. -Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in complex data sets. -Provides specialized technical and operational support to SSO Reduction to include assessing the condition of new and existing sewer mains and structures, maintaining database records, and conducting research utilizing SAWS' standards and procedures and Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) protocol. -Works closely with management to prioritize business and information needs. -Identifies, evaluates, ranks, and documents the condition of new and existing sewer mains and structures identified in the CCTV review process. -Supports and implements various program initiatives. -Maintains contractor invoice database and ensures data integrity by verifying contractor invoices and sewer main cleaning video. -Compiles and evaluates data and prepares summaries and/or reports related to SSO Post Failure Analysis; maintains "Case" tracking system. -May support various groups with the development, procurement, and maintenance of necessary contracts. -May track and analyze costs for department projects. -Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. -Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources and maintains databases/data collection systems. -May assist in the preparation of department budget. -Support and monitor the computerized maintenance management system. -Works in collaboration with various SAWS key stakeholders. -Filters and "cleans" data, and reviews reports and disseminates significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. -Plans water/wastewater asset inspections and assessment for remediation management, supporting activities related to sewer overflow and water loss reduction. -Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities. -Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports. -Assists management with coordination of daily work assignments for cleaning and televising to include generating group inspections assigned to SAWS and Contractors. Creates, assigns, and monitors preventative maintenance schedules based on cleaning scores and recommended cleaning frequencies. -Generates work orders for required repairs identified in CCTV review process. Conducts research related to cleaning inspection observations and SSO Post Failure Analyses, verifies records, and identifies assets. -Generates management reports for developing business process measures.

What You Bring

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and public relations. -Experience with Crystal reports, SQL, Microsoft Access and/or other data analysis tools. -Ability to provide recommendation for continuous improvement. -High School or GED and 5 years of experience in data analytics. -Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License. -Ability to report to work on time, maintain a good attendance record, and work all designated work schedules. -Ability to demonstrate understanding of analytical, organizational, listening, and decision-making skills. -Depending on area of assignment Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Statistics or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. -Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, contractors and governmental agencies.
