Overview

Performs QC tests on polymer materials, records data, and ensures lab safety.

Tasks

-Write routine reports and correspondence. -Follow all required safety policies and procedures. -Creates a collaborative, communicative team environment and drives employee engagement with the Company. -Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and simple repair to analytical instrumentation. -Serves as a positive representative of the Company to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Company. -Input data into databases daily and navigate data collection system. -Works to remove unsafe conditions or situations from the Polymer Center Quality Control Laboratory. -Report to management on the performance of the quality management system. -Ensure compliance programs for all individual testing. -Handle clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. -Verify testing data to properly identify outliers within the data.

What You Bring

-Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness. -Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating & maintenance manuals, etc.). -Minimum of 1 year of quality control laboratory, manufacturing, or recycling experience -Good follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise. -Basic computer skills with ability to use varying types of software including basic Microsoft Office skills. -Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner. -General ability to operate lab equipment focused on physical, mechanical, and thermal property testing for rigid materials. -Minimum of 1 year of experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
