Design and manage substation projects, including layouts, protection, and coordination.

Tasks

-Prepare scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that schedules and budgets are met. -Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of other engineers and technicians. -Develop and deliver protection and control designs, including panel arrangements, AC/DC schematics, and equipment wiring. -Prepare equipment specifications for procurement and factory acceptance testing. -Communicate and coordinate project activities with managers, clients, and other stakeholders. -Develop and deliver physical substation designs, including yard layouts, plans, sections, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and power systems. -Work independently and supervise, mentor, or train Engineers-in-Training (EITs) and Designers. -Prepare electrical calculations for studies and reports, such as grounding and lighting protection. -Coordinate design activities with departments like Civil/Structural and Transmission Line.

What You Bring

-Experience with an engineering consulting firm. -Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PLS CAD, AutoPipe, and Revit. -Expertise in substation design and engineering. -Electrical engineering knowledge with a focus on power delivery and protection & control. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software used in the Power Market Sector. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. -Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license preferred. -A minimum of 3 years experience in project execution in the Power Delivery, Substation Sector.
