The Role

Overview

Support project accountants with financial records, invoicing, and reporting.

Tasks

-Assist in improving internal accounting workflows, documentation, and data organization. -Update and maintain project financial data in Deltek Vantagepoint and Excel. -Assist Project Accountants in preparing project setup forms, budgets, and financial tracking reports. -Support the preparation and review of client invoices, verifying correct labor and expense charges. -Support monthly financial review processes by compiling and organizing data for management review. -Conduct data entry and assist with audits, reconciliations, and financial documentation as needed. -Prepare and maintain reports related to accounts receivable, billing status, and project performance metrics. -Help review and reconcile labor, expense, and billing data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems. -Participate in team meetings and collaborate with project managers, accounting staff, and other departments. -Assist with project close-out activities, ensuring all financial information is properly documented.

What You Bring

-Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. -Effective written and verbal communication skills. -Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar accounting software is a plus. -Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Hands-on experience with accounting systems and processes in a professional consulting environment. -Exposure to project-based accounting in the A/E/C industry. -Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
