Support planning and execution of in‑person, virtual, and hybrid events for NYSERDA.

Tasks

-Attract the private sector capital investment needed to expand New York’s clean energy economy. -Overcome barriers to using clean energy at a large-scale in New York. -Enable New York’s communities and residents to benefit equitably from energy efficiency and renewable energy. -Identify areas for process improvements and increased efficiencies -Support Events Management team with planning and execution for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including but not limited to, venue selection, budget development, contract negotiation & execution, onsite support, and virtual event platform.

What You Bring

-Organized and able to work independently with attention to detail and critical thinking skills -Experience with Cvent is preferred -Skilled in managing multiple activities, delivering on commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment -Current college student pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Master’s degree -Preference for a student pursuing a degree in Events Management or Hospitality Management -Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft suite of programs -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to demonstrate respect, equity and inclusive behavior and practices of a diverse workforce and community. -Dependability with a strong work ethic
