Tasks

-Travel on foot across uneven, rugged, or obstructed terrain, sometimes in areas inaccessible by vehicle. -On a monthly basis write and submit reports informing the Resident Engineer of the status of the plan and -Managing geotechnical aspects of projects, such as project execution, timelines, and milestones including -Preparing technical reports and documentation detailing analysis, findings, and recommendations. -Preparing cost estimates, proposals, and invoices. -Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment in a climate-controlled office environment. -Performing pre-construction and weekly site visits throughout construction to assess site conditions. -Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and innovations to enhance project delivery and -Work at outdoor sites including wetlands, forests, grasslands, construction zones, and undeveloped land. -Responsible for signing and sealing all related submittals as well as being available to meet with the -Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments and implement quality assurance processes to identify -Recommend updates to the excavation, work platform, cutoff wall, and embankment operation plans as -Conducting geotechnical site investigations of excavations, cutoff wall construction, embankment -Fostering positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and promote future -Evaluating and analyzing geological and geotechnical conditions to assess risks and opportunities for

What You Bring

-Ability to travel for weekly site visits (must have reliable transportation). -Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida -Availability to meet with the Resident Engineer and attend required project meetings. -Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, -This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business -Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required. -Prior experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is strongly preferred. -Ability to use sensory capabilities to see (including close and distant vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus) and smell for observation and safety purposes -Previous experience working on a minimum of two embankment dam construction projects within the -Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and -Strong technical writing and reporting skills. -Demonstrated experience with projects of similar scope, scale, and complexity. -Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance as needed during both lab and fieldwork. -Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in varied environments, often while wearing PPE. -Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, or sun. -This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work effectively from both a professional office and field work site setting. -Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance -Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate lab and field equipment for extended periods. -Ability to lift and carry between 35–75 lbs. of equipment or samples over distances up to 75 feet.
