Tasks

-Participate in a 1-in-4 callout rota and be willing to work away from home when necessary. -Rewire and upgrade systems to a high standard, adhering to building codes and safety regulations. -Perform routine testing and preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards. -Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems across commercial and heavy industrial settings. -Deliver excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with clients and colleagues. -Install and commission electrical systems in accordance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. -Provide accurate fault reports, professional advice, and customer-focused service. -Support and lead planned projects, shutdowns, and outages when required.

This is a permanent role based in West Horndon, with travel to various client sites across the UK, mainly within the southeast region. It offers a diverse and hands-on workload, supporting installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial and heavy industrial environments. An established and growing engineering services provider is seeking experienced Electrical Technicians to join their team as Workshop and Field Service Engineers. If you’re an experienced and qualified Electrical Technician looking for a varied, stable, and rewarding role in a supportive engineering environment — apply today to find out more. -Proven experience in fault finding, installation, maintenance, and commissioning. -Full (preferably clean) UK driving licence. -Experience within power generation, including prime movers and balance of plant (BOP). -Recognised Electrical Indentured Apprenticeship (or equivalent). -Physically fit with a flexible and positive outlook. -Able to pass security clearance checks. -City & Guilds 2360, 2382 (18th Edition), and 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualifications. -Knowledge of high-voltage systems, trace heating, motor installation/testing, and electrical actuator testing. -Previous experience in heavy engineering or industrial environments is essential. -Good understanding of IEE Regulations and relevant health & safety standards. -Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach. -CompEx (1–4) qualification.
