Tasks

-Ensures the routine mechanical maintenance of Plant and is Responsible for all aspects of the Mechanical Maintenance Operations. -Utilizes CMMS to accurately collect data and use for improving equipment reliability. -Participates in the investigation of safety incidents and leads root cause analysis to drive for permanent resolution. -Performs root cause analysis in partnership with key stakeholders to address quality issues, and resolves those issues in a timely manner. -Verify time and attendance reports ensuring processing and production needs are met. -Ensures a safe work environment through employee coaching and engagement and strict adherence to OC’s safety policies and procedures while conducting environmental and quality activities. -Fosters an atmosphere of team work within department and across plant. -Develops and implement a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork, accountability, fun, and a passion for winning. -Grow the service and quality culture in the department and meet / exceed established goals. -Implements and documents corrective action when performance issues occur. -Partners with relevant stakeholders to ensure team members are well trained and up to date on certifications required to perform the full scope of the job. -Become a technical resource regarding the insulation manufacturing process, equipment and protocols -Engages all teams to collaboratively own the success of the business by contributing to continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, cost, productivity, etc. -Works closely with the Production Department in a team-based environment that is designed to manage in a manner that will ensure continuously improving machine performance and employee efficiency. -Ensure employees completion of all required safety training -Participates in and leads Kaizen and 5S events in various work areas throughout plant. -Development and execution of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs. -Leads focused Improvement activities to improve process capability and efficiencies, reduce costs, and eliminate waste. -Leverages standard work to minimize variation and waste. -Further develop maintenance training plans and create a continuous learning environment for employees. -Works with other maintenance, engineering, and production personnel to analyze the performance of equipment, propose solutions, and coordinate maintenance activities. -Leads product qualification efforts with the support of key stakeholders. -Effectively lead and manage change for his/her workgroup while maintaining high levels of employee engagement. -Maintains confidentiality of management communications and decisions. -Identify opportunities for reliability performance and cost improvement -Actively participates in TPM activities and display leadership to direct reports. -Provides candid feedback on expectations and performance to members of the team on a regular basis, and drives appropriate actions for further improvement. -Build strong team alignment and communication. -Utilizes proper resourcing to meet cost targets. -Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader -Monitors and enforces all plant and corporate policies and procedures. -Ensures the Plant needs for maintenance services are prioritized and managed. -Partners with relevant stakeholders to optimize process and drive continuous improvement initiative.

What You Bring

-Experience operating heavy industry process equipment is a plus (Coke/Coal fired blast furnaces (Cupola) Air Compressors and distribution, and several process water supply systems). -Ability to work both strategically and hands-on. -Being able to work rotating or night shifts. -Possesses strong change management skills. -Technical knowledge in mechanical drive systems, fluid power systems, pumping systems, mixing systems, data acquisition, etc. -5 years’ work experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related environment required. -Logic, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. -Ability to work extended/Flexible hours. -Computer literacy—MRP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, Kronos -Behaves consistently with desired Owens Corning leadership characteristics and competencies -Ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate to all levels in the organization. -Demonstrated ability to motivate the team and be viewed as a clear and credible communicator. -Must be highly organized and able to adapt to constantly changing demands and priorities. -Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline or Technology Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical maintenance) or an equivalent combination of training and experience highly preferred. -Three (3) – Five (5) years progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. -Six Sigma Green Belt and continuous improvement experience preferred. -Predictive/Preventive Maintenance and Reliability Engineering experiences are highly desired. -Completed High School Diploma or GED required -Being able to work rotating or night shifts
