Coordinate, perform and oversee detailed field commissioning services, assessments, and studies for all types of facilities/systems including the following: laboratories, nuclear spaces, hospitals, clean rooms.
Generate commissioning plans; write commissioning specifications; develop commissioning installation checklists and functional test procedures; verify and validate commissioned systems controls and equipment; document commissioning process, develop final commissioning report, and develop systems manuals.

Ability to travel to project/client locations located in the US and internationally.
Achieve commissioning certification under ASHRAE, ACG and/or BCA within the first three years of engagement.
The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
Frequent travel to project/client locations is required with possible international travel.
Have good organizational and planning skills with the ability to direct a team through the execution of the commissioning process.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience coordinating with owners and contractors, as well as the ability to lead project meetings are necessary skills.
Be ambitious and flexible; have a talent for efficiency and process improvement; and have an attitude to succeed.
Have the ability to generate accurate, detailed reports.

Experience with construction administration

Physically mobile in and around construction sites and facilities
Experience with HVAC controls systems and protocols (e.g. JCI, Siemens, ALC, BACnet, Modbus, etc)

Able to climb ladders
Have the ability to read and understand building drawings, specifications, and submittals.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR a (2) Year Technical Associates Degree from an accredited institution with practical commissioning, controls, or testing experience.
The job requires the ability to perform work in a laboratory environment.
LEED/Green Globes/Guiding Principles Compliance
Have knowledge of controls systems and control sequences.
Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
Possess, or be able to obtain, a US security clearance.
Be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point). Familiarity with AutoCad and/or Revit will be considered an asset.
