Tasks

-Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders. -Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns. -Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. -Assist in preparing proposals, estimates, and responding to client RFPs. -Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering standards and client requirements. -Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure consistency with project requirements. -Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate technologists. -Apply knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., CSA, AISC, IEEE, IEC, ASTM) in project execution. -Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. -Develop, approve, and coordinate project work schedules to ensure objectives related to cost, quality, and time are met. -Ensure that designs incorporate sustainable and innovative engineering solutions. -Lead and oversee the preparation of civil designs, drawings, and specifications for hydro, renewables, substations, transmission lines, and industrial structures.

What You Bring

-Extensive experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and other design software. -Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and client interactions. -Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is preferred. -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. -10+ years of experience in civil design within the renewables, hydro, power, energy, or industrial sectors. -Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team environment. -Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.
