Tasks

-Develop and implement assurance strategies aligned with certification requirements and industry standards. -Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing technical growth and capability within the team. -Support strategic planning, campaign development, and opportunity shaping to grow the group’s impact. -Produce, verify, and approve software safety artefacts across the V-lifecycle, including verification and validation. -Engage with clients to understand needs, shape solutions, and build trusted relationships. -Provide SME advice on standards such as IEC 61508, ARP 4754/4761, DO-178, DO-254, DO-326, Def-Stan 00-055/056. -Manage and deliver safety-critical software assurance projects across multiple domains, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. -Direct bid activities, including scoping, costing, and risk management, to secure new work and expand our portfolio.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in software assurance or development for safety-related systems. -Thorough understanding of engineering lifecycles and assurance standards. -Experience translating client requirements into robust, certifiable solutions. -Ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects with high levels of autonomy. -Chartered Engineer (CEng/IEng) status or a clear path toward accreditation. -Consultancy skills — including stakeholder engagement, business development, and strategic thinking. -Experience applying systems engineering standards and the V-lifecycle. -Experience of Cyber-Security or Secure by Design activities. -Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Safety, or a related discipline — or equivalent professional experience.
