Tasks

-Data Governance: Direct the management, maintenance, and governance of spatial data to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards and Urbis best practices, supporting robust project outcomes. -Advanced Spatial Analysis: Lead and perform complex spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks — including ETL processes and spatial queries — while developing, maintaining, and refining methodologies and quality control frameworks. -Solution Engineering Leadership: Drive the design and deployment of advanced spatial solutions, including web GIS, digital map publishing, and configuration of spatial tools and products, leveraging market‑leading GIS technologies to deliver innovative outcomes. -Strategic Spatial Solutions: Lead collaboration with consulting teams to champion spatial services, providing high‑level advice and strategic direction to address complex client challenges through innovative, fit‑for‑purpose spatial solutions. -Team and Culture Leadership: Foster a positive, collaborative, and high‑performing team culture, mentor junior staff, stay at the forefront of GIS advancements, and ensure a safe workplace by upholding all WHS policies and procedures. -Cartographic Excellence: Oversee the design and delivery of high‑quality cartographic products that align with corporate branding, meet client specifications, and set industry benchmarks for clarity and impact.

What You Bring

-Innovation and creativity when solving complex problems -Authenticity to foster respect, trust and advocacy in all your work interactions -Highly capable in data manipulation (FME preferred), task automation (Python preferred), and the full suite of Microsoft Office. -Confidence and decisiveness to drive high performance for yourself, others and our clients -Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related field. -Advanced experience with desktop GIS (ArcGIS Pro preferred) and web GIS platforms (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online preferred).
