Supply Planner

Overview

Plan, purchase, and manage inventory to meet service levels and optimize supply chain.

Tasks

-Develop supply chain metrics for supplier business reviews -Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the business: Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance, Sales Operations, and Logistics to solve problems and identify business improvement opportunities -Plan and purchase inventory to meet service level and inventory goals -Review service level misses to conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action to prevent further occurrences -Maintain supply planning stocking strategy and system inputs (safety stock levels, lead-times, buying schemas, etc.) -Serve as a discrepancy resolution escalation point for product, invoice or shipment discrepancies -Negotiate and execute vendor returns as needed -Schedule of inbound product shipments (incl. expediting, rescheduling and cancellation) -Maintain inventory balances across Tessco’s distribution network

What You Bring

-Experience with an MRP software -Team-oriented, self-starter, and demonstrated leadership ability -Demonstrated problem solving skills & techniques -Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills -High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) -Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask -May require 5% travel -Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or related field or equivalent documented experience and skills -Experience in inventory management, logistics, or purchasing preferred
