The Role
Overview
Identify and secure land acquisition and partnership opportunities for development.

Tasks
-Connect potential partners with key stakeholders in the Calara organization. -Work closely with internal teams including acquisitions, finance, design, and construction to evaluate and underwrite potential deals. -Provide strategic input on market entry, site selection, and deal structuring. -Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through broker relationships, direct outreach, and industry networking. -Conduct market research and site analysis necessary to assess feasibility, entitlement potential, and competitive landscape. -Cultivate relationships with landowners, developers, municipalities, and institutional partners to structure joint ventures and acquisitions. -Lifting heavy objects occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and frequently small objects. -Maintain accurate records of outreach, pipeline activity, and deal status using CRM tools. -Represent Calara at industry events, conferences, and local planning meetings to build brand awareness and source opportunities. -Proactively identify and evaluate land acquisition and development partnership opportunities aligned with Calara’s strategic growth objectives. -Prepare and present opportunity briefs, market analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

What You Bring
-Able to multi-task and manage several on-going projects in an organized and efficient manner. -Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. -Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). -Reliable transportation and clean driving record. -Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills. -Existing network of brokers, developers, and landowners in target markets. -Highly self-motivated and driven to meet commitments & deadlines. -5+ years of single-family subdivision and/or multi-family acquisitions experience. -Familiarity with joint venture structuring and capital markets. -Proven track record of sourcing and closing land or development deals. -Strong understanding of entitlement processes, zoning, and land use regulations. -2+ years of experience in land acquisitions, financing, development, construction, or related. -Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly. -Walking jobs, standing, occasionally for extended periods. -Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or other related programs.
