Tasks

The Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance on all health and safety matters within a busy production environment. Working closely with local and regional teams, this role will focus on compliance, risk management, and the continuous improvement of site safety performance and culture. -Provide regular reporting on safety performance, metrics, and incident trends to senior and regional management. -Support the implementation of the company’s H&S strategic plan and continuous improvement initiatives. -Identify, assess, and mitigate health and safety risks across the site. -Lead and assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. -Raise purchase orders (POs) and manage documentation through internal systems as required. -Support H&S objectives in alignment with regional strategies and operational goals. -Conduct regular inspections and audits, tracking the completion of corrective and preventive actions. -Ensure compliance with internal and external H&S requirements, including documentation and reporting. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Irish and EU health and safety legislation.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar H&S role within a manufacturing or food production environment. -Strong presentation and training delivery skills, with the ability to engage staff at all levels. -Highly motivated, proactive, and resilient, with a hands-on approach to safety management. -Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities. -Chartered Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent professional status. -Exposure to global best practice in manufacturing safety management. -Higher Diploma (NFQ Level 7 or 8) or Degree in a relevant discipline.
