The Role

Overview

Manage monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, analysis and process improvements in manufacturing.

Tasks

-Produce monthly reporting, including full Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, with timely submission of budget and forecast data to Group Finance. -Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial and business processes, ensuring timely, accurate management information is consistently available. -Analyse business performance, highlighting key variances to budget/forecast and providing clear, actionable insights. -Keep up to date with relevant accounting standards and implement new treatments as required. -Carry out regular internal reviews to confirm stock and work-in-progress (WIP) are accurately reflected in financial systems and reports. -Prepare and review supporting schedules and documentation for year-end audit processes. -Prepare and submit statutory returns (including VAT) accurately and on time. -Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, fixed asset registers (FAR), and stock listings, with all reconciliations completed and reviewed monthly.

What You Bring

-Experience in a large or matrixed organisation. -Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting cycles. -Commercially aware, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -Confident working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. -Strong business partnering experience with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. -Knowledge of systems such as COINs, Tagetik, or Power BI. -Experience with SAP. -Advanced Excel skills, with experience developing and interpreting financial models. -A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – or qualified by experience. -Experience within a manufacturing environment. -A track record of driving process improvements.
