The Role
Overview
Provide on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs for power transformers.

Tasks
-Maintain project site documentation and checklists, prepare reports, and help to resolve any issues on site. You’ll provide feedback to assist with identifying and recommending effective new solutions to help meet business and/or customer needs. -You’ll be playing a key role within a team of knowledgeable and experienced engineers/technicians undertaking and coordinating service activities on site, whilst keeping a close eye on health and safety and quality standards, schedules, and progress reporting to ensure customer satisfaction. -Apply all safety rules and follow safe practices, as well as keep environmental responsibilities in mind. But you’ll also assess and highlight hazards and implement actions to ensure the safety of both people and equipment. -Lead jobs from start to finish under the direction of the project manager, to meet clients’ requirements. -Travel throughout the UK with opportunities for offshore working. -Coordinate all delivered parts, materials, and components for each project and optimise the use of your resources to meet delivery and performance targets as effectively as possible. -Responsible for Transformer service activities, including installation and commissioning, carrying out refurbishments, device replacements, routine maintenance, inspections, and identifying problems to assist with providing analysis for recommendations.

What You Bring
-Experience within the Transformers or the power sector (installation/service/maintenance) and/or a broad knowledge of power engineering plant and equipment, i.e. Transformers. -You have excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. -Proven experience with Mechanical installations, Switchgear, Cabling/wiring installation, Oil handling/processing/sampling, device function checks and power equipment testing instruments, Omicron/Megger etc. -You have a systematic approach, a positive mindset and are keen to learn and develop. -Suitable qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CCNSG, though training will be provided -Able to work well using your own initiative, you’re also a team player who’ll collaborate and communicate well to achieve successful outcomes. -Full driving licence -Experience in leading a team/management of subcontractors, -Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings -Electrical Engineering-related HNC, apprenticeship scheme or suitable industry experience.
