Overview
Assist in commissioning, retro‑commissioning and energy tasks for complex buildings.

Tasks
-Assists with planning, scheduling, and performing work for small to mid-size projects and supports project teams for large projects and programs -Complies with all policies and standards -Assists with the development and refinement of methodologies, tools, and standards in support of an evolving commissioning practice -Assists with training operation and maintenance personnel to review operating modes, sequence of operations and specifics of equipment, operations, and maintenance of commissioning plans -Apply basic knowledge to document commissioning results and performance shortfalls. Collaborate with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to recommend remedial measures -Participate in meetings with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to understand project goals and schedule to ensure commissioning is properly coordinated -Assists with reviewing designs, equipment submittals, operation and maintenance manual, start-up reports, checklists, and training programs for commissioning plans -Assists with preparing commissioning plans, specifications and checklists based on Burns & McDonnell standards

What You Bring
-Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills. -Experience with different types of stand-alone monitoring equipment including flow meters, temperature loggers, electrical meters, and others a plus. -Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred. -Understanding and familiarity with DOE-2, eQUEST, Energy Pro, and other modeling software a plus. -Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located. -Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). -Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred. -Basic knowledge in standard civil engineering techniques, principles and procedures. -Understanding of site safety procedures, including electrical safety. -Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program required or; -Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
