Tasks

The benefits coordinator is responsible for assisting in administrating various employee benefits, including retirement savings, disability, life and health insurance, and leaves, and top candidates will also have great communication skills in order to educate employees about their benefits. -Assist in responding to basic employee questions about benefits programs -Provide support during audits, reports, and wellness initiatives -Participate in HR compliance efforts related to benefits (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA) -Maintain accurate records and ensure data is updated in HR/payroll systems -Help prepare employee communication materials (emails, documents, FAQs) -Collaborate with the broader HR team on projects and administrative tasks -Help guide employees through benefits enrollment -Support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits (health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), etc.)

What You Bring

-Bachelor Degree in Human Resources -Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required -Familiarity with payroll and benefits software is favorable. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations is favorable. -Strong attention to detail and organization -Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. -Excellent written and verbal communication -2+ years of prior work in human resources, with exposure to benefits administration. -Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. -Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
