The Role

Overview

Develop and manage site safety plans, ensure compliance, and support safe construction operations.

Tasks

-Assist the site team with prestart briefings, training and toolbox meetings -Assist with injury management processes and implementing Return to Work plans -Ensure both personnel and plant/equipment are appropriately inducted -Facilitate High Risk workshops with the project management team -Management of incident reporting, investigations and recommendations -Provide daily guidance and direction onsite to ensure safety issues are appropriately assessed and risks are mitigated -Ensure all required documentation, including permits, are up to date in our Hammertech system -Develop and implement project-specific safety management plans that align with client requirements -Monitor compliance with the safety standards, systems and procedures -Review of subcontractor safety documentation, ensuring compliance under statutory guidelines -Complete site inspections, reporting on the findings and following up on the implementation of corrective actions -Assist with internal and external audits

What You Bring

-Strong interpersonal skills including consultation, facilitation and negotiation skills -Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels -Well-developed time management and organisational skills -Hammertech experience (desirable) -5 + years construction site-based experience in a safety focussed role -Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety -Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation -Driver’s license
