Tasks

-Operate and maintain Manuals development -Discipline Equipment system checks and tests -Commissioning and Start-up Spares development -Function testing of mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems -Coordinate activities with other engineers in the commissioning team -At the site, the Senior Commissioning Engineer will participate in walk-down inspections, punch listing, and testing including troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical & instrument component issues that can arise on the project -Report to the Commissioning Manager and provide support to the Principal Commissioning Engineer in the preparation of home office deliverables -Participate in Commissioning, Start-Up and Performance Testing -Supervise craft personnel required for site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities -Work collaboration within the Project team and with the Client to maintain positive relationships -Resolve operational and maintenance issues during Commissioning, Start-Up, and Performance Tests -Required to support the commissioning team with performing any of the following activities as a minimum Operate and maintain Manuals developmentCommissioning and Start-up Spares developmentFirst Fills and Consumables developmentCommissioning, and Start-Up ProceduresDiscipline Equipment system checks and tests Function testing of mechanical, electrical, and instrument systemsParticipate in Commissioning, Start-Up and Performance TestingResolve operational and maintenance issues during Commissioning, Start-Up, and Performance Tests

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering -Proficiency in English, Multi-Language skills a plus -8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant -Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness -Prefer 2+ years of previous commissioning and start-up experience in the chemical, refinery, or oil & gas industry -Requires a good understanding of concepts, principles, and practices in commissioning, completions, and training as well as basic knowledge of other functions, such as construction and operations & maintenance -Willing and able to travel to construction sites on assignments to international sites -Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil & gas processing facility -Must have good computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio -Preferably possess a degree or diploma or equivalent in engineering -Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers -Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to the needs of various discipline groups -Must have the ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive, and productive manner
