Tasks

-Assist and mentor junior and intermediate designers with design and software questions and supports -To function as a civil designer on various infrastructure projects with a focus on detail design for municipal/linear infrastructure projects -Design coordination with other design disciplines -Preparation of preliminary and detail design covering all facets of Civil engineering -Coordination with CAD/MicroStation standards group to maintain standards

What You Bring

-Experience in managing small projects and studies would be welcome -Ability in AutoCAD, CIVIL3D, MicroStation and Open Roads at an advanced level is required; additional skill would be beneficial -Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Technology with a focus on Transportation or Municipal -15+ or more years of experience that includes technical and business development experience in road design, municipal and civil engineering and transportation planning -Must be able to work independently with direction and supervision provided as needed based on the complexity of the assignment(s) -Must possess a collaborative attitude in working with other members of a road and transportation team -Municipal geometric design standards and GIS is beneficial
