Tasks

Report regularly on sales and project progress using internal tools and processes As part of our enhancing our customer value, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a talented Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team of experts at Helvar. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects, provide exceptional technical expertise, and play a vital part in delivering intelligent lighting solutions worldwide. You will work closely with colleagues across international offices, collaborating with sales, project, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution across Wales and the southwest. Commission, program, and maintain lighting control systems and associated products Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across sales, delivery, and support phases Engage in regular customer interactions, including site visits, meetings, and participation in relevant industry Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for the company’s solutions, based on a deep understanding of lighting Support and develop the service business by providing reliable and customer-focused technical service The primary focus of this role is the commissioning, programming, and maintenance of Helvar lighting control systems in the field. A key element involves establishing strong early engagement with customers and partners, ensuring clear communication regarding timelines, milestones, and project handover expectations. You will support the smooth integration of lighting control solutions by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges that arise during project deployment. Additionally, this role includes a critical responsibility for training and equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to use Helvar systems effectively, fostering confidence and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will contribute to the global technical operations team, supporting day-to-day activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and services. Ensure a smooth, well-informed, and customer-centric experience at every stage of the project lifecycle Train customers to use the systems effectively and confidently

What You Bring

Solid IT skills, especially proficiency with Windows operating systems and tools A valid driving license for a standard passenger car Quality and timeliness of commissioning and programming work A hands-on mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to work independently and take initiative Educational background in Electronic, Electrical or communications technology (e.g. engineer or electrician) Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Some practical experience in the field of electrical or communications technology Commissioning Engineer or Specialist Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
