Manage execution design of cargo lift and mechanical handling systems for a nuclear project

Tasks

-Lifting and Supporting Equipment Design and Substantiation -Design of Cranes. Specification for classification, stress calculations and design criteria for structures -To liaise with F4E and IO on technical issues related to handling equipment -To provide technical support to ENGAGE construction team during installation and test & commissioning stages. -Provide design support where required (e.g. specification and design of mechanical components (cranes, corbels, rails, supports, other mechanical / structural interfaces). -Prepare or update existing specifications for: -To review and comment upon the execution design documents and follow-up the execution design process and subsequent site activities. -To liaise with other ENGAGE staff that are involved in the design review (e.g, Project Coordinators, electrical engineers, I&C engineers, fire engineers, nuclear safety experts) -Mechanical Handling Equipment Analysis and Assessment

What You Bring

-Ability to manage own workload in accordance with challenging timescales. -English: fluent (C1) -Mechanical aspects of complex nuclear doors on the Tokamak Building (with confinement / shielding requirements) -Degree in mechanical engineering -5 years experience in the design of mechanical handling systems -Good communications skills, ability to liaise with engineers in other disciplines, good level of English - both spoken and written. -Lifts, Cranes, hoist, corbels, rails, support and any other handling equipment, and its structural interfaces. -Experience in the design of lifting systems in a nuclear project. -Tokamak cranes, lifts and handling equipment. -To respond to queries from TB02 regarding the Cargo Lift design, TB21 regarding Tokamak cranes, TB20 regarding Tokamak doors and handling equipment in other buildings. -Strong conventional and nuclear safety culture -Ability to assess technical documentation of the Contractors/Manufacturers. -Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written communications with clients and contractors. -New cranes, lifts and handling equipment required in non nuclear and nuclear buildings. -Fluent Technical English
