Tasks

-Responsible for the leadership, development, engagement and retention of their team -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Influence, motivate and inform employees about the organizational strategy and progress -Accountable for leading strategic business development activities, formulating solutions to address client challenges while also pursuing new projects and opportunities with new and existing clients -Participate in the development of long-term strategy for Aecon Power Services in the North American market -Assist in the establishment and ensure compliance of operational short-term and long-term goals with overall organizational objectives -Develop and implement a strategy to grow and enhance Aecon Utilities’ transmission and substation capabilities in the North American market -Responsible for the overall leadership and execution of existing projects to ensure operations are executed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner -Accountable for the development and execution of the annual business plan for Aecon Power Services

What You Bring

-Well established client relationships with major utilities in the high voltage transmission sector -Strong connections, relationships and professional presence in the industry with clients -Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, public officials, team, peers and the general public -Strong understanding of the drivers in the industry (i.e business trends, regulatory, economic, and political) -Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a strategic mindset and problem-solving ability. -Ability to travel extensively across North America -Demonstrated ability to manage the operational and financial performance of a business unit -Proven leadership, business development and operational experience in the industry at a similar level (transmission, substation) -Experience in assessing and negotiating contracts -Experience in successfully building and scaling a construction operation, safely and profitably
