Production Worker

Overview

Entry-level production labourer handling lumber, equipment, and safety at Canfor Spruceland.

Tasks

-Stack lumber manually or with mechanical assistance. -Apply grade stamps and labels to finished products. -Support machine setup and changeovers. -Perform general labour duties, including housekeeping and general cleanup. -Grade wood products by inspecting defects such as knots, splits, and warping. -Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. -Operate and assist with saws, chippers, forklifts, and other equipment. -Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and meet production targets. -Use power tools to shape and manipulate wood components. -Operate forklifts to load and unload product; move materials between workstations.

What You Bring

-Experience with and/or around machinery and equipment is an asset but not mandatory -High degree of urgency and attention to detail -Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers -Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time including piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
