Tasks
The Inside Sales Engineer Manager leads and mentors a team of Inside Sales Engineers responsible for proposal generation, customer communication, and technical sales support. This role ensures high-quality, timely quotes and technical documentation, drives continuous process improvement, and aligns with strategic sales initiatives across North America and internationally. -Monitor performance metrics, establish KPIs, and support career development goals -Resolve escalated issues promptly and professionally -Streamline proposal tools, templates, and workflows to reduce turnaround time and improve accuracy -Serve as a liaison between Sales, Engineering, and Operations to address technical and commercial issues -Oversee the preparation of technically accurate and competitive proposals -Allocate workload effectively and ensure timely proposal delivery -Support CRM and sales data analytics to enhance pipeline management and forecasting -Implement training programs and cross-functional collaboration processes -Support key customer meetings and discussions alongside the sales team -Review and approve quotations to ensure alignment with customer specs and margin targets -Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Inside Sales Engineers

What You Bring
Location: Roanoke, VA (On-site preferred) -Bachelor’s degree or related technical field (required) -Familiarity with pricing strategies, market analysis, and margin management -Strong understanding of transformer specifications, bid processes, and customer applications -3+ years of experience managing or mentoring a sales or technical team -Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal generation tools -Master’s degree in business or engineering -Experience with utility or EPC customer segments -7+ years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably within the transformer, electrical equipment, or heavy industrial sectors -Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
