Senior mechanical engineer inspecting & repairing fixed equipment in pulp & paper plants.
-Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for new construction and rehabilitation projects. -Evaluate corrosion and other material-related degradation affecting both metallic and non-metallic equipment and structures. -Analyze equipment condition data to assess fitness-for-service in accordance with relevant engineering codes and standards. -Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 25%, with increased frequency during scheduled outages). -Prepare detailed repair specifications and technical drawing packages. -Conduct inspections and condition assessments of fixed equipment, including metallic storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping, at industrial facilities such as pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, and water/wastewater treatment sites. -Finalists may be required to submit prior deliverables or technical reports for review -Oversee small-scale capital projects focused on fixed equipment upgrades or repairs. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural and chemical engineers, designers, and project managers.
