The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair community facilities to ensure safe, comfortable living for residents.

Tasks

-Purchase all needed supplies and materials within budgetary constraints -Obtain work orders from the Community Manager, prioritize and assign work, complete work orders -Attend staff meetings to discuss work orders, budget compliance, ongoing vacancies, move-in/move-outs as needed -Ensure that the physical aspects of the assigned properties meet Givens Communities' quality standards and applicable laws -Routine maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the electrical and mechanical systems, appliances, buildings, and grounds -Empty trash, cleaning common areas, all aspects involved in turning apartments -Respond to maintenance requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or GED -Basic knowledge of and complete repairs for electricity, electrical appliances, plumbing, refrigeration systems, plastering, HVAC, painting, drywall repair, and carpentry -Knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials -Previous property maintenance experience -Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification, or willing to obtain once hired
