Project Administrative Assistant (Electrical Construction)

Overview

Provides admin support for electrical construction projects, handling documentation, logs, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Negotiate and maintain relations with vendors and subcontractors. -Participate in design and construction coordination meetings internally and externally as needed. -Transmit all executed subcontracts and change orders, execute, file and track legal documentation for contracts, subcontracts, bid documents. -Support Project Management with project establishment and closeout, purchase orders, subcontracts, meeting minutes and follow up on various operational task. -Request certificates of insurance, prequalification’s, OSHA, and safety related items from subcontractors and vendors. -Maintain logs including purchase orders, project financial updates, daily reports and submittals for multiple projects. -Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Senior Project Manager / Estimating team.

-Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize multiple projects and resource planning skills. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel applications. -Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation. -Must demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems. -Must demonstrate technical skills necessary for project engineering. -Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. -Must demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others. -Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines. -High School diploma or GED required. -Must work with minimal supervision.
