Tasks

-Reviews infractions and improvements with the site management personnel, documenting the progress electronically through the use of digital photos, spreadsheets, word processing, email and other approved processes. -Responds to safety concerns brought to his/her attention. -Monitors job site activity for inspections and administrative tasks, if located at a single job. -Ensures job site orientation is conducted for every new employee on the job site. -Responds to incidents and accidents to provide additional investigative analysis. -Works as part of the Project Management Team to implement an effective and proactive positive safety culture. -Reviews site safety conditions and develops plans for improvements with project leadership team. -Documents site conditions focusing on safety items project safety conditions through photographs and written reports. -Responds to safety incidents, and conduct accident investigation and root cause analysis. -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and company safety standards are followed on all jobsites. -Perform Safety Trainings for Professionals on each site -Reviews job hazard analysis and pre-task planning documents for scopes of work performed on project(s).

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience as a Safety Manager in the Underground Utility, Civil, or Heavy Civil Construction Industry and will be responsible for implementing, directing, and enforcing safety measures across large and small, public and private Underground Utility Construction projects. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. -Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, other contractors, and employees at all levels of the organization. -Understanding of local County and Federal Rules & Regulations -Experience in the Construction and Installation of Civil Projects, Horizontal Construction, and/or Underground Utilities, preferred -Able to perform all essential Safety Manager job responsibilities -Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position. -OSHA 500 Certification -Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record. -Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred -4+ Years of Construction Safety Experience -Proven track record of successful OSHA ratings, loss-work records, EMR trainings, etc -Bachelors’ degree in Construction, Engineering, or Occupational Safety, preferred
