Tasks

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of commercial construction projects, with a strong focus on fit-out and refurbishment works. The successful candidate will take accountability for ensuring safe, profitable, and timely project delivery, while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. -Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to foster collaboration and long-term relationships. -Manage project documentation including RFIs, client and subcontractor meeting minutes, and document registers. -Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and suppliers to coordinate project activities and maintain clear communication. -Process subcontractor and supplier invoices, and ensure claims are managed within agreed timeframes. -Monitor quality of works on-site, ensuring compliance with Australian Safety Standards and company EHSQ systems. -Support the Project Manager in the delivery of projects from preconstruction through to defect liability period. -Assist in identifying and managing risks, variations, and opportunities for profit improvement. -Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and assist in budget control to ensure project profitability. -Uphold safety and environmental compliance on-site, promoting proactive reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. -Contribute to the preparation and updating of project programmes in MS Project.

What You Bring

-Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Project), JOBPAC, and Procore. -Trade qualification or tertiary building degree/diploma. -2–5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer within commercial construction, ideally in fit-out and refurbishment. -Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. -Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings and specifications for accuracy and buildability. -Strong knowledge of head contracts, subcontracts, and project delivery processes. -Experience supporting project financial performance, including cost reporting and budget tracking.
