The Role

Overview

Design HVAC layouts and equipment in 3D for nuclear reactor project.

Tasks

-Ensures compliance with approved PD&P design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design. -Possesses responsibility for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline -Preparation of drawings/documents for General Arrangements, HVAC orthographic drawings. -3D modeling of HVAC Duct and equipment in S3D -Interfaces with support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of 3D model and drawings for the purpose of model/space control, etc. -Assists with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. -Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings and design documents prepared -Ensures PD&P systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards -Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements

What You Bring

-Knowledge and understanding of the use of the V&IDs -Understanding of the various HVAC system types, components, equipment and control systems. -Knowledge of national building codes and an understanding of ASHRAE standards. -Must be a US citizen. -Hands-on experience using SmartPlant S3D modeling platform (preferred) -AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 3-4 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience. -Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment, education and travel.
