Tasks

-Provides guidance, direction, oversight, and specialized assistance to project team members to achieve deliverable goals that meet the project deadlines -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist -Apply industry standards, codes, and best practices to ensure plans are buildable, efficient, and clear -Produce accurate, high-quality plan sets and design drawings for wastewater treatment and collection projects -Review plans of substantial complexity for accuracy, consistency, and compliance -Contribute to project success by managing deadlines, tracking revisions, and supporting coordination with clients and contractors -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight -You share your expertise to mentor junior technicians and designers on the team

What You Bring

-Ability to work occasional overtime. -10+ years of civil design experience, with a focus on water or wastewater projects. -Experience with civil site design, site grading modeling, and pipeline design. -Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve problems, and determine requirements for various complex project designs -Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or related field. -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time -Attention to detail, with the ability to balance accuracy and deadlines. -Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software) and able to visualize designs in 2D or 3D dimensions. -Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. -Your plan sets are consistently accurate, detailed, well-organized, and delivered on time -Engineers and project managers trust you to anticipate complex design needs and provide quality solutions -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records research, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds -Demonstrated ability to solve difficult and complex problems with minimal direction. -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -Familiarity working in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. -Strong knowledge of drafting standards and wastewater infrastructure design. -15+ years of civil design experience -Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication skills and a proactive, client-service mindset. -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
